Sales Executive - Sri Lanka


The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our Sri Lanka customer base, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets in local market. This role requires a strong understanding of local sales process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel extensively.


Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Lead Generation:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities in the Sri Lanka market.
  • Generate new leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, and cold calling.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.

Sales Presentations and Negotiations:

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the needs of local clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to close sales effectively.
  • Clearly communicate the value propositions of products/services to potential clients.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and partners.
  • Understand client needs and provide customized solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent post-sale support.

Sales Targets and Reporting:

  • Achieve sales targets in the assigned region.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Country Manager, including sales forecasts and pipeline status.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to optimize sales strategies.
  • Share feedback and insights to help improve products, services, and sales processes.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field is a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar role – 2 years or more.
  • Strong sales track record with a history of achieving sales targets in different regions.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multicultural team.
  • Fluency in English and Sinhala is required; proficiency in Tamil is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
